update from the past few days..

so it appears i need to get used to this regular blogging lark. i have been quite busy over the last few days and had barely a spare moment. i've been working a fair amount plus seeing friends and spending time with the boyfriend. since my last post i have purchased a few new items.

firstly is the blazer in the post below. it's not the best of pictures but you get the idea. it was only £13 from primark and i really like it and it fits nicely. i've already worn it a couple of times. i also purchased a grey crinkle-effect texture stretchy/body-con-y style skirt from primark for a mere 4 quid! it's really quite decent quality and will be great on nights out worn with a more detailed top. i'll post a picture of it when i get round to taking one.

sorry for the far from amazing quality of the photos. this was taken on my crappy iphone camera as you can see in the picture.

i purchased the top worn in the photo below from topshop for £30. it's a light floaty fabric with a snake/leaf print (i can't decide which really but i'm swaying towards leaf) with the pocket detail with a gold zip. i bought it to wear on a night out on friday but haven't worn it until today. i wore it with some khaki shorts from h and m that i never envisioned me wearing again until next year's holiday season but the outfit was comfy and i liked the combo.

ha at my messy room... oh well.

there appears to be another person poking out behind me on this one! as you can see here i just wore the shorts over some leggings and with a grey cardigan. i can also add in hindsight that the use of an iron might have slightly improved the iron but of course i was going for the lived-in look ;)... or something like that.

i'll be posting again soon on a couple of pairs of shoes i've bought over the last week.

what i'm wearing today..

hello everyone, happy bank holiday! it feels soo good not to be at work. today is just a few odd jobs and chilling out plus spending a few hours with my boyfriend before he goes back down south tonight where he works.
i decided to give the baggy breton top from topshop another go and decided maybe this size will do after all. it is very baggy but i've changed my mind and decided that with some things, i like it.

i just slung it on today with my beige zara cardigan and  the river island joggers i mentioned previously.

please excuse my dirty mirror! haha.

i had to pop out earlier today as i went to look at some netbooks as i need one for my lectures. last year i took my laptop with me everyday and it was just too big and heavy. i couldn't find one i loved so have ordered one i've seen directly from sony vaio. my laptop i am on now is a vaio and i love it so i'm excited to have another one. it's tiny and white and will be perfect for my notes and fitting in my handbag.

have a good day :) x

dream shoes..

..just a quick post to say that these shoes are a pure dream. not only are they classic red-soled laboutins but they are purely beautiful..

anyone wanna buy them for me ;) haha just kidding. i'll just have to dream...

i am completely addicted to make up..

..buying it, collecting it, putting it on myself, putting it on other people, reading about it, hearing about it.. i love make up. i was just looking through some of my webcam pictures from over the past year which was quite interesting because they almost tell a story of things i've done over the past twelve months. i became a member of dailybooth this time last year which, if you didn't know, involves taking a picture everyday and uploading it, usually of yourself. mine often feature my make up so i thought it might be fun to share a few below.

ta daa!

recent purchases

hii so i've bought a couple of things in the past few days that i want to share with you! i am in diar need of a serious shopping trip. this past year at university has forced a dwindled shopping habit and my wardrobe has suffered as a result. plus i have put on a million pounds in the past year which makes things more difficult. be careful if you're heading to uni soon guys, honestly, that weight can just creep up on you!

grey utility joggers, river island.
i love these, they're really comfy for chilling out in and yet i wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen in public in them unlike other items of clothing i own for the same purpose such as those black velour sweat pants that i DEFINITELY DON'T own :p. they were £26.99 which is a reasonable price in my opinion. they're not too unflattering and i like the stitching details on the legs so all's good there. one downside was the sizing in riverisland which was quite depressing.. does anyone think their sizes have gone smaller?

now i really should already know never to buy something without trying it on, no matter how confident i am about it but clearly i don't because that's not what i did with this top. i like it because it's a simple baggy top that can be chucked on anyday as it's easy to wear and goes with most things. it's from topshop for only £16. i got it in a size twelve which is normally fine and i know the style of the top is meant to fit baggy but it was absolutely huuuuuuuuge! i got it home and it looked just ridiculous. so i'm going to return it next time i'm near topshop for a size 10 or maybe even an 8. hopefully they'll look better. if not, i'll exchange it for something else.

this weekend has been pretty boring. i work at clarks and have been there a lot recently but tomorrow is a day off! hallelujah!

in need of new heels..

hello there.

so i desperately need a new pair of shoes for going out in. recently in nottingham i have been a wimp and worn flats as i can get away with it but i feel i need to start making more effort and a new pair of heels will induce that! i do want something in black and would prefer a platform so these pairs above caught my eye. i have subconsiously chosen two pairs involving thick elastic too, weirdly.

one pair is £70 and the other £22, i bet you can guess which is which. yes, the top ones are the pricey-er ones, from ASOS and i love them! but are they worth an extra £50, especially when i've got good evidence to believe that ASOS shoes have questionable comfort factor? i may just treat myself or i may decide to be sensible and spend the change on something else.

i'll post if and when i buy some.

hello!!

hello to anyone reading this!

my name is becky and i am nineteen years old. i study law at nottingham university but am very much interested in fashion, make-up and other general areas of vanity and beauty! i am addicted to shopping; nothing makes me happier so i find reading blogs on the subject very entertaining.

i, by no means, have any qualifications in english (unless a dodgy lang/lit AS level counts) so i apologise for any future mistakes in grammar but i do enjoy writing so here i am creating my own blog. i plan to write about experiences of online window shopping, wish lists of my own, purchases of my own and other aspects of my general life, although nothing too personal!

i do not claim to know anything about fashion or be a fierce follower of the trends, nor do i have the budget to have a huge wardrobe but that's not what this blog's about - just my own personal opinions and experiences. i wonder how this will go and if anyone will come across it... hmm...

over and out.

:)
